An Attitude of Gratitude

Got-Balance-Attitude-of-Gratitude1

This is the shortest article I have written on this blog but it carries so much power that it will change the way you see life. We have become too complacent in life that we are not grateful for the little things anymore. We no longer appreciate what we have and we continually yearn to have more, more and more.

You have ten shoes but you are not happy because you don’t have enough money to buy the shoe you so desired to have.
Have you realised that there are people with just one shoe, there are some people without food to eat talkless of shoes to wear, there are some people with amputated legs that having shoes is even out of the question.

You don’t have a job after finishing school and you are so angry with life.
Do you realize that some people didn’t even go to school, some don’t even have a CV to present, some don’t even know what education means.

You were heartbroken by the guy you loved.
Have you realized that some people have never been in love before but at least you experienced love . Some people don’t even have a heart to be loved, some don’t understand what love means.

You wrote JAMB and you failed and suddenly the world is over.
Have you realized that some people can’t even afford to finish Secondary school, some can’t even afford to buy that JAMB form.

You are not yet married and you are upset with yourself and God.
Do you realize that some people are married and are virtually living in hell. Some are married and praying to be single again. Some are married and are wishing they never were.

No matter what is bothering you, no matter what is keeping you down, no matter what is eating you up. Remember that you are better that more than a billion people in the world. Be grateful for what you have and not upset over what you don’t have. Develop an attitude of gratitude.
